Base metals supported by risk-on trading environment

With the domestic data card quiet at the start of the week,  focus remains centered on offshore developments. Stateside, focus continues to rest with the political backdrop. Although all the news networks have declared Biden the winner, it is clear that Trump will not go quietly. There have been some discrepancies that need to be dealt with, and some anomalies cleared up. Trump’s assertions of irregularities will need to be tested in court if they are to be taken seriously and hold any sway. For now, the main stream media has taken it for granted that the discrepancies are minor and that they will not change the ultimate outcome. Either way, these court challenges hold the potential to stall the transition to a new regime, with Trump still occupying the White House.
